Empower Me STEM Series
BT
BT are the leading business communications provider in the UK, connecting more than one million businesses and public sector organisations to their colleagues and customers. They support businesses of all sizes – whatever tech needs they may have. Their network, products and services also underpin the operations of other UK communications providers too. As a sponsor and host of our 2024 STEM Festival, BT have continually supported young people to explore STEM careers, build their networks and develop their skills and confidence. Their Customer Experience Centre, Aurora, dropped jaws at STEM Festival in 2024 and showcased just how much technology can do.
Insight Days
bp
bp’s purpose is reimagining energy for people and the planet. They currently work with over 46,000 global and diverse suppliers across 60 countries to help the world reach net zero and improve people’s lives. Our partnership with bp helped the organisation reach their social mobility goal of providing up to 500 work experience placements globally each year in 2023. They continued their dedication to supporting young people achieve their potential by sponsoring our 2024 International Women’s Day event, engaging with 100 young people from backgrounds under-represented in STEM. We are excited to continue our partnership this autumn with an insight day dedicated to all things apprenticeships.

Macquarie
Macquarie is a global financial services group with operations in 33 countries. Its services include asset management, retail and business banking, wealth management and much more. Our partnership with Macquarie spans insight days to Industry Societies, championing diverse young people into realising their potential. We are proud to say that three of our event alumni have been awarded full-time university scholarships through the Rise To It with Macquarie Programme. We are excited to relaunch our Financial Markets & Banking Industry Society programme alongside Macquarie in 2025.

Addleshaw Goddard
Addleshaw Goddard LLP is an international law firm headquartered in London, United Kingdom. It is structured as an LLP and has circa 1,400 lawyers including 325 partners in 17 offices. A partner on our Law Industry Society and insight days, Addleshaw Goddard have offered a deep dive into the world of law for young people from backgrounds under-represented in the industry. From mock trial to real court visits, our events with the firm have opened attendees' eyes to what they can achieve and empowered them to reach their goals.

Barclays
Barclays are a diversified bank, whose vision is to be the UK-centred leader in global finance. They boast a company culture that nurtures a supportive and amiable environment, where every individual feels like a valued member of a close-knit community. Barclays hosted their first insight day with us earlier this year, where over 50 girls and young people who identify with womanhood had a chance to explore STEM apprenticeships, connect with professionals and build skills at their Radbroke Campus. We are partnering again this October – this time taking a deeper dive into apprenticeships and how to impress from application through to interview.

E.ON are one of Europe's largest energy companies with the business areas of energy distribution grid, energy infrastructure solutions and energy sales. With their 1.6-million-kilometre-long energy distribution grid and around 47 million customers, they are playing a leading role in shaping a green, digital and decentralized energy world. A new partner for 2024, we are delighted to be working with E.ON to showcase the opportunities available for young people via an in-person insight day. Watch this space!

UCB
UCB is a global biopharmaceutical company. They are focused on creating valuable solutions that make improvements to the lives of people living with neurological and autoimmune conditions now and into the future. Over the past three years of partnership, UCB have welcomed many young people from backgrounds under-represented in the industry through insight days, STEM events and work experience opportunities, broadening their knowledge of the industry and gaining valuable skills.

Pfizer
Pfizer strive to set the standard for delivering safe, effective medicines and vaccines that offer value to the health system and have the potential to save lives, prevent illness, improve health and enhance wellbeing. We have partnered with Pfizer since 2021 on numerous STEM events, including our former Empowered Females in STEM programme (now reworked into the Empower Me STEM Series). With ongoing support from partners like Pfizer, we continue to empower the next generation of leaders in STEM, driving positive change and innovation in the field.

GSK sponsored our 2024 International Women’s Day celebration, engaging with 100 young people from backgrounds under-represented in STEM and offering unique opportunities to contribute to healthcare advancements.

The Dyson Institute
The Dyson Institute of Engineering and Technology is unlike any other higher education institution. They aim to develop the best engineers in the world by combining rigorous academic programmes with work on future Dyson products and real responsibility from day one. Working and studying, learning and doing, while developing pioneering technologies and radical new designs. Our partnership with the Dyson Institute has already made a profound difference to young people’s lives, with two STEM programme alumni securing degree apprenticeships at the Institute. By connecting with inspiring women in STEM and building confidence through experiences like public speaking, they gained the skills and motivation needed to pursue careers in engineering.

GE HealthCare
GE HealthCare is a leader in precision care, infusing innovation with patient-focused technologies to enable better care. To create a world where healthcare has no limits. Our partnership with GE HealthCare on an insight day offered over 50 young people the chance to engage with professionals from the healthcare industry. Attendees not only built employability skills and learnt about the systems and equipment GE HealthCare develops, but were able to trial the equipment too – including a live ultrasound!
Empower Me STEM Series
Eko by the Ministry of Defence
Eko is an abbreviation of Engagement, Knowledge, and Opportunities. It is an initiative led by the Ministry of Defence's ‘Defence Nuclear Enterprise (DNE)’, which is the federation of organisations and arrangements that enables, maintains and delivers the continuous at sea deterrent (CASD) and submarine forces. Eko inspires and promotes confidence, creativity and careers in STEM fields, facilitating STEM learning whilst providing unique insights into the captivating world of nuclear technology. Like us, Eko strive to make STEM education accessible and enjoyable for young people. As a sponsor of our 2024 STEM Festival, they helped to demystify the world of the DNE and showcased that there is a place for those from under-represented backgrounds at the MOD. Eko inspires and promotes confidence, creativity and careers in STEM fields for students, parents, carers, teachers and those seeking a career change. In collaboration with partner organisations, schools, STEM ambassadors, and STEM communities, they facilitate STEM learning whilst providing unique insights into the captivating world of nuclear technology. Eko strive to make STEM education accessible and enjoyable, ensuring that individuals can explore and excel in these fields.

AWE are a team of remarkable people achieving an extraordinary mission: keeping the nation safe and secure. The work is critical. Pinsent Masons
Pinsent Masons LLP is an international law firm which specialises in the energy, infrastructure, financial services, real estate and advanced manufacturing and technology sectors. They boast a wealth of accolades, from being the highest ranked professional services firm in the Stonewall Workplace Equality Index, to a spot on the Times' Top 50 Workplaces for Women 2016. David Isaac, a partner of the firm, was appointed as Chair of the UK Equality and Human Rights Commission in 2016. A partner on our Law Industry Society, Pinsent Masons delivered real-world experiences for young people from under-represented backgrounds. Together, we inspired attendees through mock trials and visiting the Supreme Court, leaving them ready to aim high in their careers. Pinsent Masons offer career development and opportunities around the world that help young people achieve their full potential. Their Early Talent sector has a wide range of opportunities for young people ranging from apprenticeships, work experience and vacation placements to help young people deep dive into the world of law.
It was really nice to see the power of mentoring. When I first met my group they were incredibly shy and took a lot for them to answer questions... later in the graduation event they were all brilliant! Asking lots of questions and speaking and chatting amongst ourselves. It was really great to see.
